God did not create man to be doomed to hell and throughout His Word, He warns of the dangers and penalties of sin and invites all to come into an everlasting relationship with Him. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Remember that the Lord does not want any to perish. Now, the author wams: Beware of a hard heart! Remember the first warning in Hebrews 2:1-4: don’t drift down the world’s currents away from the Truth of God’s Word. These are true announcements of real danger from potential perils in the Christian’s life of faith which prevents a full and abundant life as envisioned by the Lord and wamings to those who do not believe.
